Weather was a little sporty this weekend but there w/the drum bite turned on it didn't stop a fleet of boats heading towards Tussey's Slough. Friday night Capt. George on Heavy Hitter reported a banner night w/nonstop action, all fish ranging from 40-80 lbs. Saturday was a little slower for them but still had a good time w/their charter. Deliverance w/father & son team Ed & Scott Pickul were also out there catching their personal bests, a 76lbr for Ed and 60lbr for Scott; all in all they caught six and released two. Chums Up also reported 6 for the night @ Tussey's Slough. And of course, the bait of choice was fresh surf clams.
We'll have more reports for the week since there are some boats heading out to take advantage of the bite.
